To ensure that the councillors understand the background and spirit of Equal Employment Opportunity legislation and anti-bullying guidelines; the organisational policy; and their responsibilities, as councillors, in the areas of EEO and anti-bullying.
Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this program, participants should:
Understand the importance of using the organisational processes to manage issues, rather than attempting to manage it themselves.
Understand EEO and anti-bullying resolution processes and follow appropriate grievance procedures and protocols.
Understand the councillor EEO and anti-bullying responsibilities and how it relates to the everyday conduct of a councillor.
Understanding the importance of role modelling and reinforcement of the organisation's position on EEO and anti-bullying.
Understanding how these areas relate to attracting and retaining talent.
