To ensure that participants understand the background and spirit of Equal Employment Opportunity legislation and anti-bullying guidelines; the organisational policy; and their responsibilities, as managers, in the area of EEO. This includes a focus on dealing with issues and the leadership responsibility of role modelling.

At the conclusion of this program, participants should:

Understand the legal framework related to employment.
Understand the concept of vicarious liability and how it relates to the everyday conduct of a manager. This includes OHS, EEO and anti-bullying.
Be able to handle dispute resolution and follow appropriate grievance procedures.

Manage performance and non-performance effectively.
Understand EEO and anti-bullying resolution processes.
Understand the importance of effective relationships in preventing workplace issues
Understanding the importance of role-modelling
The importance of achieving optimum performance of employees through the provision of direction and 'personal motivators' such as careers structure, reward and recognition, and ongoing feedback
Understand considerations for attracting and retaining talent
