LEADERSHIP, COMPLIANCE & MANAGING PERFORMANCE 'KEY TACTICS FOR MANAGING EEO, WORKPLACE BULLYING AND PERFORMANCE MATTERS IN THE WORKPLACE'

Target Audience:
Managers, Supervisors, Co-ordinators and Team Leaders with a responsibility for influencing performance outcomes from their team and who are required to manage staff performance issues.
Key Objective:
To provide participants with an understanding of EEO and Anti-Bullying, and the legislation that governs the area. This includes an emphasis on organisational policy; the responsibility of leaders in dealing with EEO and staff performance related issues in the workplace; management of non performance; tactics to foster a performance focused environment in the workplace and appropriate role modelling of behaviours.
Learning Outcomes:

At the conclusion of this program, participants should:

  • Understand management styles and their impact on the business
  • Understand the legal framework related to employment
  • Understand the legal framework related to employment
  • Their role as leaders in the everyday management and prevention of unlawful discrimination and bullying in the workplace. In particular the importance of:
    * How they act everyday as leaders (role modelling) and the ripple effect
    * How they respond to inappropriate behaviours they observe
    * How they deal with issues that are brought to them
    * How they demonstrate support and commitment for the organisation's policies
  • Be able to handle dispute resolution and follow appropriate grievance procedures
  • Achieve great performance with individuals and teams
  • Manage performance and non-performance effectively
  • Understand EEO and anti-bullying resolution processes
  • Understand the importance of effective relationships in preventing workplace issues
  • Understanding the importance of role-modelling
  • The importance of achieving optimum performance of employees through the provision of direction and 'personal motivators' such as careers structure, reward and recognition, and ongoing feedback
  • Understand considerations for attracting and retaining talent
Resources: Program Facilitator and Workplace Reality Theatre (Professional actors).
Structure: Full Day, with up to 16 participants per session.
